1. Exhaust butterfly valve brake.
The principle and structure of butterfly valve brake are relatively simple. After the driver uses the butterfly valve to brake, the exhaust pipe of the butterfly valve rotating block and the form can control the back pressure of the engine cylinder, so as to increase the power consumption of the engine and reduce the speed and force of the engine during the exhaust stroke, so as to achieve the goal of reducing the speed in a short time. The structure of exhaust butterfly valve is relatively simple, with high cost performance and the lowest braking effect.
2. Bleed the brake.
There are also many products on the market that are used for the brake of a deflated engine. When the bleed brake works, open the exhaust valve with small clearance, so that the engine can release the compressed energy through the bleed during the compression stroke. In this way, almost no energy is returned to the piston during the power stroke. In the exhaust process, the exhaust stroke depends on the back pressure generated by the exhaust butterfly valve or VGT turbocharger to increase the intake and exhaust power consumption. According to different ways of implementation, it can be divided into active and passive.
3. Compression braking.
In this paper, the principle of compression brake is described in detail, that is to change the valve phase of engine exhaust valve. At the end of the compression stroke, open the exhaust valve to release the work done by the air in the compressed cylinder of the engine into the exhaust system. During the expansion operation, the exhaust valve is closed, the agitator cylinder is close to the vacuum, and the downward movement of the piston is similar to the vacuum pumping process, resulting in negative work. This type of brake has the biggest power, the most complicated structure and the most expensive price.
