The handbrake of small mixer is very important. Maintenance and inspection of handbrake are indispensable for owners, and the performance of handbrake will decline with the increase of use times. Most of the time, it is because the owner of the mixer thinks that he has put the handbrake on, but in fact, accidents occur due to the failure of the hand brake or the position of the hand brake is not in its working point, so the performance of the hand brake needs to be checked regularly.
The handbrake system of 12 m3 mixer truck is acting on the rear wheel. Because of the different forms of the rear wheel brake, the handbrake has two working environments: on the rear wheel with drum brake, the drum brake itself can also be used as the parking brake. Therefore, when parking, the shoe and friction plate in the brake drum are connected to generate braking force. As there is no brake drum on the rear wheel of disc brake, it is necessary to install additional parking brake drum in the center of brake disc to complete the brake work.
Specifically, the ratchet wheel and pawl are installed inside the handbrake system of the 15 square mixer truck. After pulling up the hand brake, the pawl will be stuck on the ratchet wheel and the hand brake will be locked automatically. This is the reason why we will hear the "click" sound when we tighten the handle.
There is an adjustable compensation mechanism at the connection between the bottom of the handbrake handle and the copper cable. The length of the brake copper cable can be stretched by loosening the locking nut with a wrench. If during the inspection, we find that the braking efficiency or sensitivity of the handbrake of the 18 m3 mixer is not ideal, it can be solved by adjusting the copper cable of the handbrake.
